Relationship Between Sexual Disorders and Insomnia

Sleep is a normal human physiological need. Everyone would like to have deep, sweet sleep, but most people will inevitably encounter the phenomenon of insomnia at some point in their lives. Trauma, medication, and tea are some of the things that may lead to insomnia. Can a disharmonious or imperfect sex life also lead to insomnia? The answer is yes.

American physiologists have done a lot of surveys, and found that a less than perfect sexual life is a significant cause of insomnia for some. When a person is feeling sensual, but is unable to vent the sexual energy in a long time, the nervous system is in a high state of excitement, anxiety and irritability, and insomnia follows.

This is a more prominent occurrence among women. This is because there is a big difference between the male and female libido and orgasm. The male libido is easily excited, and males can quickly achieve orgasm during sexual intercourse. After orgasm, male libidos can quickly subside.

Therefore, once men reach orgasm (even through masturbation), they can soon sleep peacefully. For women, on the other hand, the “launch” is a longer process. Even once orgasm is reached, the regression of libido is slow. So it is harder for women than men, to achieve the perfect degree of harmony during sexual intercourse, and women are more prone to insomnia.

American psychologists agree that the lack of a normal sex life, or sexual disharmony is an important reason for insomnia among women.

A perfect and harmonious sex life plays a role in promoting sleep, because after passionate sex, the nervous and excited body relaxes, tired muscles are stretched, and the mind floats with pleasure. Couples need to work together to enjoy the wonderful experience of sex life, and then fall asleep together.
